REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 14TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME. (1)

REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 14TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME.

THEME: JESUS CALLS ME.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Mt 10: 1 – 7.

Jesus calls me today as he called the 12 Apostles long ago. He calls me not because of who I am, but because of who I can become. Jesus needs my intellect, will, legs, hands (my whole being) to work for him. He has given me authority to bring words of comfort and healing to the sick, to cast out bad spirits. Do I care for the sick? Do I have the moral courage to speak against the evil of corruption, injustice, abortion, kidnapping?

LET US PRAY
Teach me never to expect a perfect Church afterall, the 12 men you chose were not perfect. Give me the grace and courage to tell of your love, wonderful works, and the nearness of your Kingdom to those who do not believe in you. Amen.
