REFLECTION FOR MONDAY OF 22ND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I. (1)

REFLECTION FOR MONDAY OF 22ND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I.

THEME: JESUS’ MISSION IS CHALLENGED.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Lk 4: 16 – 30.

Jesus knew his purpose and mission, but he was not appreciated by the Pharisees because of contempt for his background. What is my personal mission statement? Do I faithfully and diligently carry it out? Do I accomplish my plans for growth, and promises to people? How do I help people with crisis of identity? How do I show appreciation to God for rescuing me from the evil plans plotted against me by haters?

LET US PRAY
Teach me Lord Jesus to value whatever I have. May I learn to affirm people rather than pass disparaging remarks about them. May I empower others by welcoming their bright initiatives. May gracious words flow from my mouth to everyone irrespective of their background, race or religion. Help me to be focused and do that which I believe in despite opposition from friends. Give me the gift of high self-esteem. Shield and protect me from those who seek to harm and destroy me. Amen.
