REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF THE 1ST WEEK OF LENT. (1)

REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF THE 1ST WEEK OF LENT.

THEME: SIGN OF JONAH.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.

Lk 11: 29-32.

Jesus offers me the sign of Jonah. I therefore need to repent more than ever before. I have also witnessed many signs in my personal life that confirm God’s existence and his desire for my total conversion. God’s shows me multiple signs in one single day, but I don’t perceive them because of my mind set. Can I embrace a life giving fast (fast of the eyes, tongue, ear etc) as part of signs of my repentance?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, but you still love me. Give me the grace to recognize your promptings through the different occurrences of the day. Help me to repent and make a complete u-turn for good choices. Remove my blind pride and ignorance. Let me love you deeply. Deepen my faith in you and sharpen my mind so that I can quickly know and understand your will for me. Like Jonah, may I be a pointer and conscience of truth. Amen.
