REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 16TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME.
THEME: THE SOWER.
BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.
Mt 13: 1 – 9.
Jesus has sown in the soil of my heart the seeds of virtues and holiness through various opportunities for spiritual activities and talks. I have countless avenues of knowing about God if I open the door of my heart so that the planted seeds can germinate and bloom. Do I cherish these graces well enough as I ought to? Do I participate in the Parish spiritual programmes like May devotion, Lenten retreat, Advent pilgrimage etc? Am I a good soil that add value to people’s lives?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, thank you for planting in my life seeds of patience, prayerfulness, generosity, understanding etc. Let these your seeds be nurtured in me, my family, my friends and my culture. Help me overcome the shallow love, thorny vices, rocky and challenging areas of my life. Drive away the scorchy sun of bad friends and birds of prey in human forms who eat up my goodwill, and discourage me from performing noble acts. Teach me that receiving your word bears good fruit when I respect the human person irrespective of tribe and religion. Amen.
