REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 12TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME (2)

REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 12TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME.

THEME: BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Mt 7: 15 – 20.

Jesus warns me against false pastors. I know that even if something appears good from a distance, a closer look and study will confirm its fakeness or originality. I cannot give what I don’t have. If I want good harvest, then I have to plant very good seeds. But if I plant bad seeds then I must not expect to reap good fruits. Do I have false friends? Am I a false friend to others? Do I know the fruits (signs) of good/bad friends/prophets?

RELATED: HOMILY FOR WEDNESDAY OF 12TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME.

LET US PRAY
Help me dear Jesus to be a good prophet (friend) who says the Gospel truth, and not just prosperity news that people want to hear. Help me to realize that a false friend/prophet is one who fosters hatred, fights, confusion and division. Remove all falsehood from me. Let the good fruits (joy, peace, kindness, truth, etc) of your Spirit manifest in me. Amen.
