DAILY REFLECTION FOR MONDAY OF THE 26TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II.
THEME: THE LEAST IS THE GREATEST.
BY: SR. J. K OSIYEMI, EHJ.
REFLECTION FOR MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26 2022.
Lk 9: 46 – 50.
The desire to be great and be in the forefront in my relationship with God should be manifested in acts of love and compassion. This is delightful in God’s sight, just as he delights in the innocence of children. I need to stop engaging in unnecessary arguments just to prove that I am right. This is sheer pride. I also need to constantly remind myself of the need to be an incognito in this passing world so that I can be great in heaven. Do I actually think I am better than him/her? Do I rejoice when I see the progress of others’ ministry, or do I feel I have to monopolise faith matter because I was born or baptised before certain people ?
LET US PRAY
Dear Jesus, you are the greatest one. You are the Master. There is no one like you. Help me to understand servant leadership and be truly humble. Give me a childlike simplicity. Let me listen well to the opinion of others. Cast out from me the spirit that discriminates and segregates. May I be an instrument of peaceful collaboration. Amen.
