DAILY REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY OF THE 25TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II

THEME: JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ

REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 23 2022

Lk 9: 18 – 22.

Silent prayer helps me to hear God’s Word, to know him more intimately, and to experience him as personal Lord and Saviour. If I know Jesus well I will accept the trials and challenges of life. Afterall, he himself did not have a stress-free life, and he did not promise me a bed of roses without thorns. However, the Messiah is able to help me when my strength declines and my daily challenges rise. Do I believe that even unfortunate incidences happen to me for some good reasons? Who is Jesus for me? Do I cheerfully bear discomfort and pains?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, my image of you is that of a loving friend and father. There is no friend like you. Reveal yourself to me and help me to know you deeply and be more convinced of your fatherly goodness and powerful divinity. Teach me to realize my dependence on you when my health fails and other crosses of life weigh heavily upon my shoulder. Thank you for the joyful and challenging moments of my life. Strengthen me in my difficulties. Amen.
