Homily for Wednesday November 17 2021

Luke 19:11-28. November 17, 2021.

Jesus expects a return on all the gifts he has invested on me. He has given me lots of material and spiritual blessings. It is not right for me to keep (bury) all these favours the Lord has freely blessed me with. Doing the little things give calmness, not calamity, gain not pain. Am I like the gifted servant who is an expert in blame game? Do I point accusing fingers at others and refuse to take responsibility for my actions? How have I been developing my talents? Do I even realize the fact that I am very gifted?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, giver of graces, help me to praise you by using even my little gifts to the fullest. Let me be diligent and generous in doing little things for the greater glory of your name and the growth of humanity. Give me the grace and the zeal to multiply the natural talents you have endowed me with. Forgive my lack of gratitude. Cause whatever I have stunted its growth in my life to surface again, and give me the grace to let my personal charism, good works and deeds have positive impact on those I mentor, so that they too can multiply it through their behaviours. Amen.
