REFLECTION FOR SATURDAY OF 3RD SUNDAY OF EASTER. (1)

REFLECTION FOR SATURDAY OF 3RD SUNDAY OF EASTER.

THEME: STAYING POWER.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Jn 6: 60 – 69.

My relationship with Jesus should be firmly rooted so that I do not get disturbed, discouraged and leave when things get awry or when some prominent church members misbehave. Jesus was calm despite the resistance of the Jews, and those who did not believe him and walked away from Him because of his ‘hard’ teachings. He was not upset and angry because they did not agree with his opinions. He asked his disciples if they will also go away. To whom do I turn when life is hard: Horoscope? Man or woman of God who predicts the future? Where is my staying power when things get confusing, cloudy and stormy?

LET US PRAY
Dear Jesus, I believe in you. I have no one but you. I totally depend on you for everything. I rely entirely on you for strength and inner peace. Help me to realize what a friend I have in you. Teach me respect for other people’s views. Give me a firm confidence and staying power. Give me trust and faith in your teachings. Amen.
