HOMILY/REFLECTION FOR GOOD FRIDAY
HOMILY THEME: THE EXCHANGE THAT SAVED US.
BY: Fr. A. N. Abiagom, CM
More than two millennia ago, there was an exchange that took place. An exchange not between nations on earth, nor of individuals and groups. It was an exchange of the most significant act of relentless love. An exchange undeserved by the people of the world, but was made for them for the sake of the love so pure and true. An exchange between heaven and earth.
An exchange of death for life. The Son of God destroyed our death by his death. He wore the crown of thorns that we might wear the crown of glory. He became naked that we might be clothed. He became a curse that we might become a blessing. He died that we might live.

God the Father whose footstool is our habitation gave us his only begotten Son. The gift so precious that it cannot be bought but to be freely given in the context of “Divine Exchange.”
Man of sorrow, Son of God, stripped of the glory of heaven to be sacrificed, carried upon his shoulders the weighful grieve of our iniquities. Crucified for the crippled sinner breaking every curse and perfecting the “Divine Exchange” with his precious blood.
