*INTRODUCTION*
Good morning dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today we celebrate Wednesday of week 11 in Ordinary Time. And in a special also we commemorate the Memorial of Saint Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, Religious.

*FROM OUR FIRST READING*
Paul assures us in that first reading that our cheerful giving will bring down upon us God’s blessings and graces even more abundantly. Each one of us as Christians are reminded that the riches and the blessings we have are gifts from the Lord, and we should be happy and willing to share these with each other, particularly with all those who are lacking and short in the things that they needed. It is an important aspect for us as Christians to be selfless and to be filled with love in all of our actions.

*FROM OUR GOSPEL READING*
In our Gospel reading, the Lord warns His disciples of self-seeking glory or the preoccupation of looking good and seeking praise from others but a reward of being in communion with God our Father. In other words, Jesus teaches that His disciples’ good works must be done in secret. In addition to the three traditional good works, namely: almsgiving, prayer and fasting by which these three are necessary, useful and complement each other, another two are added to deepen them. These are sincerity and secrecy.

*CONCLUSION*
Dear brethrens, as the Jewish Scriptures declare, we look at appearances, whereas the Lord looks at the heart. The Lord always sees what is best in us, even when the goodness in our heart or the good we do is below the radar when it comes to human seeing. We are called to live as people who are always before the Lord, aware that the Lord is always seeing us, not with judgmental eyes but with eyes of love, eyes that recognize the good in us that others very often do not see and that, perhaps, we do not even see ourselves.
May God bless us all and our every good works, now and always.
