*INTRODUCTION*
Good morning dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today we celebrate Tuesday of week 15 in Ordinary Time, Year A.

*FROM OUR FIRST READING*
In our first reading today, we heard about the story of the birth of Moses, the one through whom God would rescue His people, the Israelites, from their enslavement and suffering in the land of Egypt. Back then, the Egyptians had been persecuting and oppressing the Israelites for many years and decades as they feared the great multitude and the growing power of the Israelites, who first came into Egypt during the time of Joseph, who became Regent of all Egypt and safeguarded his family from famine and harm during those years. According to Jewish tradition, by the time Moses was born, the people of Israel had been living in Egypt for around four centuries, and the time was nigh then, in God’s time, to bring His beloved people back to the land which He has promised to them and to their ancestors.

*FROM OUR GOSPEL READING*
Today, Christ upbraided two Galilean cities, Chorazin and Bethsaida, for their incredulities: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes” (Mt 11:21). Christ himself bore witness that the Phoenician cities, Tyre and Sidon, would have done penitence in great humility, if the wonders of the divine power had been done in them.

*CONCLUSION*
Today’s liturgy invites us to ask ourselves, ‘How well do we receive all that God is offering us through his Son?’ The opening chapter of John’s gospel declares that Jesus came among us full of grace and truth and from his fullness we have all received. Because the Lord is full of God’s love for us, there is no limit to how much we can receive from him. There is always more to receive, and more that we can give from what we have received.
The Lord be with You!
