Sunday reflection for the 3rd Sunday of Lent Year C

Theme: REPENT AND BECOME A FRUITFUL FIG

By: Sr. J. K. Osiyemi EHJ

Reflection for Sunday March 20 2022

Lk 13: 1 – 9.

Cruelties and calamities do not necessarily indicate God’s displeasure of man. So, also a comfortable life does not mean full righteousness. First and foremost, God desires my repentant heart. He gives me chances and opportunities to facilitate my total conversion. I am resolved now to respond to the Gardener’s patient care by bearing the fruits of charity, peace and joy that God has created me to produce. Why haven’t I repented from those bad habits? When last did I go for confession?

LET US PRAY
Thank you Lord Jesus for your mercy and love. I know you will not tolerate my lack of productivity on the day of judgment. Forgive me for wasting the golden opportunities of spiritual activities you freely put at my disposal in my apportioned space on earth. May virtues (fruits) never be wanting in my life because of all the precious and special graces I have received. May I be full of good fruits when death comes knocking. Amen.
