REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 7TH WEEK OF EASTER. (1)

REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 7TH WEEK OF EASTER.

THEME: THE PRAYER OF JESUS.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Jn 17: 11 – 19.

Jesus prayed for his disciples that they may be kept by the Father, unified, joy filled, protected from satan, consecrated in truth. He prays for me too. I must also develop the habit of praying for others, especially those who need my prayers and those who have asked me to pray for them. Am I an agent of unity and bond of connection between people? Since Jesus does not want me to be of the world, do I live by positive values?

LET US PRAY
Jesus, let your priestly prayer dispel discord amongst family and friends. May nations, colleagues, neighbours and siblings relate together in fraternal love and truth. Keep me away from wolves who twist the Gospel truth. Distance from me haters who sneer at me and are suspicious of my good deeds. Shield and protect me from liars and manipulators who appear outwardly as virtuous. Help me Lord as I choose and cherish values that are not worldly. Help me to learn how to generously give of my time, talent and treasure without counting the cost. Amen.
