REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 5TH WEEK OF EASTER. (1)

REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF 5TH WEEK OF EASTER.

THEME: PRUNED BY THE TRUE VINE.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ.

Jn 15: 1-8.

I am created to abide in God, not to be a loner in the world. Jesus reminds me that I cannot flourish without Him. Anytime He wants me to bear more fruit, He prunes me with some inconveniences of life. The pruned vine spreads and gives good grapes that are later crushed to produce good wine. How do I accept these hardships: ill health, difficult colleagues, low finance, etc? When have I withered because I did not remain in Jesus?

LET US PRAY
Jesus, I know you are the Vine and I am only a branch. You are the most important person I know. With you as my Connect I am in connection with your favour and grace everywhere I go. Help me to try harder to remain in your love. Call my attention to my failings whenever I begin to derail. Thank you for pruning me through people who challenge my patience and generosity. Help me to bear fruits of joy, humility, self-control, kindness, etc. Amen.
