REFLECTION FOR TUESDAY OF HOLY WEEK.

THEME: JESUS FORETELLS HIS BETRAYAL.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.

Jn 13: 21-33, 36-38.

Jesus knew of Judas’ deliberate plan to betray Him. He also knew the strength of Peter’s loyalty and the weakness of his resolution. I too despite my boastful claim to be a truthful person deny Jesus when I see the obvious truth and colour it with pretense. It’s obvious that I also sometimes make empty promises to God and humans. Am I cold and calculated in lies, betrayal, and other hateful behaviors? Am I sincerely loyal to those who love me?

LET US PRAY
Help me Lord Jesus never to betray you by turning my back on those you have given me to care for: the sick, friends, and the poor. May I be loyal to the Christian faith. When I am in troubled mood because of the Judases in my life, keep me going and never let me give up on the rest of the people who are still good. Please help me in all areas of my weaknesses so that I can be faithful to my promises to you. Amen.
