REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY OF THE 2ND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I (1)

DAILY REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY OF THE 2ND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I.

THEME: HEAL ME O LORD

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.

Mk 3: 7-12.

Like Jesus I must find time to be alone to rest and to pray in order to be better equipped for my work even though I’ve tons of things to do, and people to attend to. I must also take responsibility for my welfare just as Jesus did when he asked for a boat so as not to be crushed by the enormity of the task before him. Jesus the Son of God is ready to heal me if I come to him. He will cure every physical and emotional infirmity as well as spiritual attacks in my household if I seek him, and live an authentic life. Does my style of living make people to instantly realize that I am spirit filled? Or do I promote the reign of the devil by lowering and watering down ideal moral standards?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, heal our sick land. Very many people need you every second, every minute, every hour, every day. Help them and heal them. Heal me, heal all my sick friends and family. Bless all those who are in need of my prayers. Heal me and wake me up from false consolation and laxity in spiritual matters. Release me from the grip of satan’s tactics. Give me the strength to do my work, and attend to as many people as you allow me. Amen.
