REFLECTION FOR SUNDAY JUNE 5 2022

*WELCOME GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT ! I ADORE YOUR PRESENCE !*
There is nothing God cannot do, He has done it again. The promised HOLY SPIRIT, THE COMFORTER AND GREAT COUNSELLOR is here.
What a privilege for you and me, we are the people of the Holy SPIRIT.
Child of God, do you know When we cry, “Abba! Father!” it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
The Holy SPIRIT is among us to teach us more truth about Jesus, what an everlasting joy .
Beloved, in (Acts 2:1- 11) it was said that the disciples were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. may l ask you, in what tongues are you speaking today ? The tongues of the Holy SPIRIT or in the tongues of the Worldly spirits?
Let us listen to the full Gospel: ((John 14:15-16.23b-26)
At that time: Jesus said to his disciples: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor, to be with you for ever. “If a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. “These things I have spoken to you, while I am still with you. But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”
*REFLECTION :*
Child of God, do you know we need the Holy SPIRIT to be a really witness to Jesus.
Jesus made it cleared in the above Gospel, that when you and me loves Him and keep his commandments, he will tell His Father to give us another Counsellor ” The Holy SPIRIT ” to be with us, to protect, defend our cause, and care for us forever. Who can do this if not the Ascended Messiah !
Our friend Jesus, also promised us that it is only the Holy SPIRIT ” “These things I have spoken to you, while I am still with you. But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”
Let us thank the Lord, today for completing his words by sending us the Holy SPIRIT to Enlighten us more and make us people of Strong faith.
In (Romans 8:8-17) Paul warns us that “those who are in the flesh cannot please God and “Anyone who does not have the spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
St. Paul in (Galatians 5:16-25) advices us to Walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh because the desire of the flesh are against the SPIRIT and it prevents you and me from doing what is good.
May l ask you, child of God, the Holy SPIRIT is here, what Gift did you received?
Let us Say : God the Holy SPIRIT Welcome.
*Prayer :*
I pray that the seven gifts of the Holy SPIRIT (wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord) will dwell in you always, through Christ our Lord Amen.
Happy Pentecost Sunday and happy new week of using our gifts of the Holy SPIRIT to serve God betterl and to help our neighbors. Amen
