REFLECTION FOR MONDAY OF THE 3RD WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I.
THEME: BEING CALM IN THE FACE OF OPPOSITION.
BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.
Mk 3: 22-30.
The Lord Jesus was not unduly agitated when falsely accused of using evil power. His gentle challenge to his detractors was calm and full of wisdom. I should learn to recognize and compliment other people’s achievements. Though satan and the forces of evil are still very active in today’s world, I am not afraid because I have Jesus on my side. Can I accept criticism without being highly defensive and feeling disrespected? Can I stand it when falsely labelled? How do I reproach my betrayers and enemies?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, let no evil jealousy rule me as to drive reason away and accuse innocent people falsely. Please, give me your peace whenever my authority or intention is unjustly criticized. Give me some of your patience when I am being slandered by my enemies out of hatred and envy. May I be strengthened to overcome their negative energy. Help me never to block the voice of the Holy Spirit by clinging to a sinful life. May I see the good in others, and give praise to you. Amen.https://www.homilyhub.com/reflection-for-monday-of-the-3rd-week-in-ordinary-time-year-i-1/
