REFLECTION FOR MONDAY OF HOLY WEEK.
THEME: MARY ANOINTS JESUS’ FEET.
BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.
Jn 12: 1 – 11.
Judas used money entrusted to his care for wrongful purposes. Therefore, he failed to see the sincerity of Mary’s love and appreciation of Jesus who was merciful to her. For him, “What a waste” is the appropriate phrase to describe Mary’s use of the oil for Jesus’ feet. Jesus reminds us that we will always have the poor among us. How do I want to anoint the Lord’s feet today and show him my love and gratitude? Do I also say “What a waste” about those who embrace the Priesthood and Religious life? What have I done to help the poor during this Lenten Season? Have I purposely hiked the price of commodities I possess?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, you are love itself. Give me the desire and generous love for holy people, holy things, and holy places. Lord, I have been so very blessed in my life. Sometimes I forget that I have a responsibility to help those less fortunate than I. Help me to always remember to care for the poor in our world. Amen.
