REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY OF THE 6TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I. (1)

REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY OF THE 6TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I.

THEME: COST OF DISCIPLESHIP.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.

Mk 8: 34-38, 9:1.

Jesus makes it clear to me that saving my life for the gospel entails enduring some earthly pains and sacrifices. What sacrifices am I enduring in order to gain heaven? Do I do my work cheerfully without constant complaints? Do I make effort to attend prayer meetings? Am I able to put up with a difficult family member for the sake of Christ?

RELATED: HOMILY FOR THURSDAY OF THE 6TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR I.

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, give me the strength and the zeal to follow you faithfully here on earth, so that I can be accepted into your Kingdom on the last day. Accept my sacrifices of praise and worship. Amen.
