INTRODUCTION
Tuesday of the 7th Week of Easter focuses on Jesus’ prayer for His disciples and Paul’s farewell to the elders of Ephesus.
ABOUT THE READING OF TODAY
My dear friends in Christ, both passages of today, highlight the importance of mission, faith, and unity among God’s people. Jesus asks the Father to protect His followers and to unite them in love. Paul reminds the elders of his dedication to preaching the Gospel and urges them to care for the Church.

WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THE LITURGICAL READINGS OF TODAY?
These readings of today, encourage us to live out our faith with purpose and love. Paul and Jesus show what it means to give ourselves fully to God’s mission, trusting in His guidance. They both emphasize caring for others as part of our calling, whether through teaching, service, or simply being present for those in need.
Remember, Unity is another key theme we learn today, for as Jesus prays that His followers remain united in faith. Paul, too, stresses the need for the Church to stand together as one family of believers. This unity gives strength to the community and helps believers to carry out God’s mission in the world.
