YEAR C: HOMILY FOR THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD – CHRISTMAS DAY

THEME: God comes to dwell with us and in us.

They prepared, kept awaiting and received the wonderful Good News; the birth of Emmanuel (God with us). God comes to dwell with us and in us. The shepherds shepherding their sheep and lambs were doing it season and out of season. From shepherding the lambs for sacrificing in the temple of God, they were the first to received the Good News and saw the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world. May your Christmas preparations, joyful waiting and persistence in doing what is good and avoiding what is evil make you first class recipient of Good News and God’s blessings. Happy Christmas?
