HOMILY FOR FEBRUARY 18
Heb.11:1-7; Mark 9:2-13
It’s an interesting way to put it, right? Faith culture! For us Christians, that’s what it is. Reading through the letter to the Hebrews this morning, it is clear that we do need to make faith our way of life. Without it, there’s no guarantee for the blessings we hope for; no proof that the realities we can’t see exist. Without faith, pleasing God is impossible. Look at Abel, Enoch, Noah, and many others – these had a faith culture. Believing God in every situation was their way of life.

Friends, just imagine the kind of glory that awaits us. St Paul says that eyes haven’t seen, ears haven’t heard, neither has it even entered the mind of man, the kind of glory that is to be revealed. It’s time to deepen our faith culture. It’s time to enlarge its coast. It’s time to listen to Jesus, whose clothes became whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them when he was transfigured. So I say to you, “believe God!” These are the days of visitation. Keep yourself in the arena of faith.
