*INTRODUCTION*
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today in a special way, we celebrate the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is the day when we celebrate that beautiful and wonderful moment when Mary, the Mother of God visited Elizabeth, her cousin, who was also the mother of John the Baptist. Mary visited Elizabeth who was with John the Baptist in her womb while she has also already had Jesus in her Immaculate womb.

*ABOUT THE GOSPEL READING OF TODAY*
The gospel reading for today’s feast highlights the value of a certain way of being present to others. It invites us to ask ourselves, ‘What is the quality of our presence to others?’ Mary went on a journey from Nazareth in Galilee to the hill country in Judea to be present to her cousin Elizabeth. The quality of Mary’s presence to Elizabeth is evident in the impact her presence had.

*WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THE FEAST OF TODAY?*
Elizabeth recognizes Mary as the mother of the Lord and Mary proclaims the greatness of the Lord in response to Elizabeth’s blessing of her. We can learn from Mary and Elizabeth to be attentive to that hidden dimension of our meetings and encounters, the presence of the Lord. The meeting between Mary and Elizabeth shows us what is best in any human encounter, a moment of mutual giving and receiving in a spirit of attentiveness to the Lord’s presence.

*CONCLUSION*
Let us always remember that, our movement towards others in love is to be matched by our movement towards God in faith, expressed through prayer. Like Mary, we recognize the great things that God has done for us, and we respond by praising and thanking God. This feast of the Visitation of Mary is not just about Mary; it is also about us. It offers each of us a portrait of that way of life which flows from our baptismal identity and which Mary gives expression to so fully.
I Wish You All A Blessed Feast Of The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
