HOMILY FOR MONDAY OF THE 2ND WEEK OF ADVENT.
THEME: You shall see God’s glory!
BY: Rev Fr Oselumhense Anetor (Uromi Diocese).
Is.35:1-10; Luke 5:17-26
It is true that the glory of God changes the status quo. Yes! Why would wilderness and dry lands rejoice? Why would waste lands bloom and bring forth flowers? How is this even possible? Because God’s glory is bestowed on them of course! This is the same glory that strengthens weary hands, steadies trembling knees, and brings courage to the faint hearted.
RELATED: HOMILY FOR MONDAY OF THE 2ND WEEK OF ADVENT
Friends, the psalmist tells us today that our God is coming to save us. When Jesus forgave the paralytic in the gospel reading of today, the Pharisees thought it blasphemous. But Jesus knowing how slow we are to believe decided to heal him physically as well. Let those frail limbs come forward. It is time to let go of all fear. The one who has all authority invites us today to his throne. Let go of the doubts. God is even now changing your story. Do you believe this?
Good morning dear. God bless your week ahead.
