HOMILY FOR 14TH TUESDAY OF ORDINARY TIME: YEAR A
HOMILY THEME: THE LABOURERS ARE FEW!
BY: Fr Oselumhense Anetor
Gen 32:23-33; Psalm 16(17):1-3, 6-8; Matt 9:32-37
In so many ways, we are harassed and dejected; always in need of shepherds. Look at the world around us today. There is so much work to be done. But like the Pharisees in the gospel reading of today, we often find that some of us who are in positions of authority in God’s Church, try to discourage those among us who are trying. We are quick to see evil where good has been done. This is sad.

Friends, it takes so much grace to make ourselves available for the work of God. We must therefore learn to make due recourse to him. We must seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all other things will be added. And if we find ourselves at the crossroads, we must come to Jesus. He heals the sick, raises, the dead, brings solace to the broken hearted, peace to the troubled heart, and forgiveness to the one who sincerely repents. What are we waiting for? We need more labourers for the harvest. Will you be one?
Prayer
Lord, make me a willing instrument for the growth of your kingdom here on earth, Amen.
Good morning dear. God bless your day ahead.
