INTRODUCTION
Today we celebrate Thursday of the First Week of Advent, this day bring messages of trust, humility, and faith in action.
FROM OUR FIRST READING
Humility is central to our first reading message, showing that God values those who rely on Him instead of their own strength. In a world focused on self-reliance, humility means recognizing our need for God’s help. This doesn’t mean we are weak; it means we understand our limits and know where to turn for strength. During Advent, we are encouraged to live humbly by asking for God’s guidance and letting go of pride.

FROM OUR GOSPEL READING
The Gospel calls us to act on Jesus’ words. Faith is more than believing; it’s about following His teachings daily. Jesus compares this to building a house on rock, which stands firm in a storm. Faith in action creates a foundation that keeps us steady. In Advent, we strengthen our faith by practicing kindness, forgiveness, and generosity, living out Jesus’ message in simple ways.
CONCLUSION
Both readings remind us that real security comes from trusting in God. Isaiah’s strong city and Jesus’ house on a rock show us that the security we seek cannot be found in worldly things but only in God. Advent is a time to deepen this trust by praying, reflecting on God’s word, and making choices that reflect His will. With God as our foundation, we can face life’s challenges with peace.
May the Blessings of God be with you on this beautiful and blessed Thursday
