DAILY REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF THE 4TH WEEK OF ADVENT. (1)

Mary and Elizabeth

DAILY REFLECTION FOR WEDNESDAY OF THE 4TH WEEK OF ADVENT.

THEME: JOYFUL MEETING.

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI, EHJ.

REFLECTION FOR DECEMBER 21.

Luke 1:39-45.

Through the gracious visit of Mary, Elizabeth sensed the divine presence in her heart and womb. She praised Mary and her child and rejoiced with her. They both joyfully listened to each other’s success story. Do the elderly, the sick, the lonely and the poor that I reach out to encounter Christ in me? Do I pay regular short visits to the Blessed Sacrament? Do I proclaim the goodness of others like Elizabeth who said Mary is the most blessed of all women? Do I act under false humility and shy away when others sincerely praise me?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, like Mary and Elizabeth let me also be a good listener, rather than a good storyteller. Let me be a channel of grace and love as I give spiritual, moral and emotional support to the needy. May my presence, the things I do, and say, bring joy, not sorrow to those I visit and to those who visit me. May I learn to offer charitable assistance, recognize the indwelling presence of Jesus. Amen.https://www.homilyhub.com/daily-reflection-for-wednesday-of-the-4th-week-of-advent-1-2/
