Daily reflection for Tuesday of the 3rd Week of Advent

Theme: TWO IMPERFECT SONS

By: Sr. J. K. Osiyemi, EHJ

Reflection for Tuesday December 14 2021

Mt 21: 28-32.

Jesus tells me the story of the two imperfect sons to illustrate the consequences of my choices. I have received free grace but I am tepid and no longer zealous. I make false promises, my actions do not match my words. Ironically, others who are less favoured are beginning to be more desirous than me in matters of the Gospel. Am I just a nominal Christian? Why have I not repented and changed from being stubborn? Do I play pleasant and tell people just what I know they want to hear whereas deep within I nurture my own will and ways?

LET US PRAY.
Lord Jesus, enter into my heart so that I can love you. Enter into every vein in my blood so that I can turn a new leaf and be repentant at heart. Forgive me for being tepid in my religious practices, and for taking your Word for granted. Make me willing to serve. Keep me focused on doing the right thing always. Amen.
