THEME: DESIRING JESUS.

Lk 19:1-10.
When I long to see and know Jesus like Zaccheus, my desire will be recognized, and my thirst and hunger for the Divine will be quenched with the food of life. When I seek for enlightenment from those more knowledgeable than me in spiritual matters, I acknowledge that I am short like Zaccheus, and that my act of asking is the climbing of the sycamore tree. Is pride holding me back from seeking wisdom from those who are more gifted than I? Who are the sycamore trees in my life? Am I grateful to them for helping me to have a better view of what seems even an ugly situation?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, come into my soul. Help me to be open to your invitation to bond with you through sharing in the Eucharist, the food of life. Give me the grace of humility to ask forgiveness of all I have wronged and pay back by showing them love, mercy and justice. Help me to understand that practicing restitution is a positive and practical sign of genuine repentance. Bless all the sycamore trees in my life that have helped me to climb over my ignorance of the true meaning of your Word. Reward them abundantly for directing me towards holy path and for providing me with solid spiritual guidance. Amen.
