Daily reflection for Tuesday of 1st Week in Ordinary Time Cycle II

Theme: THE AUTHORITY OF JESUS

By: Sr. J. K. Osiyemi EHJ

Reflection for Tuesday January 11 2022

Mk 1: 21-28.

Astonishment is the effect of Jesus’ works and teachings on his followers and hearers. With confidence and authority He casts out evil. He is standing at the synagogue of my soul speaking blessings with divine authority unto my life as the Church enters the first week of ordinary time. He is ready to crush, destroy, silence and eject out of me all spirits that are contrary to Christian virtues if only I do not resist his grace. With what authority and faith do I speak positivity into my life and the life ó fmy loved ones. Do my words and works inspire and impress others that they begin to see God at work in my life? Am I rid of the disease and slavery of satanic influences?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, free me from the shackles of moral evil that operates in subtle ways whispering lies and half-truth to destroy and cause confusion in my life. Deliver me from the oppression, attack and manipulations of the evil ones who are present in places of worship and also outside of it. Let me encounter you personally so that I can have the determination, courage and strength to authoritatively drive out and walk away from places, things, ideas, and people that have toxic and negative effect on my life. Deliver me Lord from all evil. Amen.
