DAILY REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY OF THE 20TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II

THEME: INVITATION TO THE FEAST

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI

REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY AUGUST 18 2022

Mt 22: 1 – 14.
God has generously invited me and you to partake of his love, but if I am not careful, my many-to-do list may interfere and blind me from his invitation to my spiritual growth. There is no gate-crashing in heaven. If I want to be there I must be properly dressed in Christian virtues and upright living. Do my worldly affairs take prominence over my spiritual life?

LET US PRAY
Thank you Lord Jesus for making me to know that the Kingdom of God is meant for everyone, not for a special few. Help me also to have an open heart that is able to love and serve everyone who need my assistance. Thank you for calling and choosing me to be a Christian. Help me to cherish and honour your valuable invitation for me to be your child. May I be robed in the wedding garment through living a righteous life. Amen.
