Theme: SOLID FOUNDATION

Reflection for Thursday December 2 2021

Matthew 7:21, 24-27.

The holy season of Advent gives me wise insights into how to do God’s will. Jesus tells me that actions are what count, not words. Lord, I talk the talk, I call you Lord with my lips, but I do not always walk the walk. How can I do your will and make my actions match more closely to my words when I call “Lord, Lord?” Is my life built on the foundation of truth, peace and joy? Do I build on the eroding sand of “The more friends and likes I have on social media, the more important I am?”

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, help me to see that my words are useless unless they are paired with actions, and built on solid rock and foundation. Forgive me for the times I wallowed in ignorance and foolishly built on sand by trusting too much in earthly friends and approval. Let my faith be founded on your rock of prayer o my Saviour. Amen.
