DAILY REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY OF THE 17TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II

THEME: THE SORTING

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ

REFLECTION FOR THURSDAY JULY 28 2022

Mt 13: 47 – 53.

Sorting out the good and bad stuff in the dragnet is a very important exercise for fishermen. So shall it also be on the day of judgment. Therefore, it is very important for me to start now to remove all my vices lest they cause me harm on the day of judgment, and prevent my admittance to God’s Kingdom. Why have I delayed in doing away with bad habits? Have I fervently prayed and worked hard to acquire good habits?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, help me to trust that your merciful love will look favorably on my sincere effort to be good. Thank you for taking note of my good deeds. Thank you for giving me time to do away with my vices. Help me to be accommodating of other’s imperfections and leave judgement for God who created them. Amen.
