Theme: CALMING OF THE STORM

Reflection for Saturday January 29 2022

Mk 4: 35 – 41

When buffeted by the storm of life I will not panic and loose faith. I can very well recall those times that Jesus saved me from terrible situations. Thank you Lord Jesus my Saviour for showing up in my life with your presence and mighty power when I was in the midst of strong wind and rough sea of life that almost engulfed me with discouragement and despair. With Christ as the center of my life, I will be able to rise up to any challenge. In my time of testing He asks me the same question: Why are you afraid? Have you no faith? Do I recognize the Lord’s presence with me, especially when I meet the storms of adversity, sorrow, and temptation?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, I believe that whenever I encounter trouble you are there with me. I want only the fear of God. Come to my aid and give me the grace to overcome the waves of confusion and the tempest of ungrounded fear and insecurity that beset me. Calm the water of doubt that I have about the efficacy of the sacraments. Increase my faith to believe in your presence in the stormy moments of my life. Amen.
