Daily Reflection for Monday of the 34th Week in Ordinary Time Cycle I

Theme: TRUE SACRIFICE: BEING GENEROUS

By: Sr. J. K. Osiyemi, EJH

Reflection for Monday November 22 2021

Luke 21:1-4.

The Lord Jesus takes note of my love and sacrifices, just as he did with the poor and generous widow who gave all that she had. Though I should learn to acknowledge even the little kindness and sacrifices of others to me, I should learn not to show case my own little and big acts of charity. What gift from the heart can I offer Jesus today? Do I give generously for Church use? What am I planning today to do with my excesses? Are my clothings and shoes far more than I actually need? Do I still throw away surplus food instead of sharing it with the less priviledged?

LET US PRAY
Dear Jesus, grant me the courage to offer to you all that I am and all that I will ever be. Accept me as I am, and receive all my poor offering, and give me in return an outpouring of spiritual grace and divine favour. May I be rich and generous in counsel and forgiveness. Bless and reward my love and sacrifice. Amen.
