Daily Reflection for Monday of the 1st Week of Advent

Theme: UNUSUAL FAITH AND HUMILITY

Reflection for Monday November 29 2021

Mt 8:5-11.

Advent is the time I must earnestly seek Jesus to heal me of pride, and grant me humility. I ought not think so highly of my intelligence, position, power, influence and office. Faith and love should compel me just as the Roman Centurion who sought healing for his servant from Jesus. How do I handle the gift of faith God has given me? Do I still have doubts about the real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist? Do I care for those entrusted to me? Do I intercede for them as we await Christ coming during the Advent season?

LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, teach me to put aside my pride and ego in order to embrace total faith in you. I am unworthy, I do not deserve to receive so much blessings from you. I cannot do anything without your grace. May I be constantly reminded of your loving words to me in the scriptures for my healing and upliftment. Help me Lord to cooperate with your gift of faith as I wait in joyful hope for your coming. Amen.
