DAILY REFLECTION FOR MONDAY OF THE 12TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II

THEME: INWARD FOCUS

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ

REFLECTION FOR MONDAY JUNE 20 2022

Mt 7: 1 – 5.

I am not expected to judge others, but to first look inward and correct my own limitations. I must know that fraternal correction is a social responsibility that corrects the wrong acts, but never judges the person. Have I instituted myself as an entity who cannot go wrong? Do I correct others harshly or with love and mercy?

LET US PRAY
Dear Lord Jesus, help me to uproot my own vices. Help me to know that I should not play God, that I have my limits in correcting others. Help me to focus inward, and dedicate time to my spiritual growth and self development which will invariably have positive impact and ripple effect on others. Forgive me for all the untrue and uncharitable comments I make about people in their absence. Forgive me for being rashly judgemental. Grant me the grace to show mercy and love to everyone around me. Amen.
