DAILY REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY OF THE 10TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME CYCLE II

THEME: AVOID LUSTFUL LOOK, DIVORCE AND ADULTERY

BY: SR. J. K. OSIYEMI EHJ

REFLECTION FOR FRIDAY JUNE 10 2022

Mt 5: 27 – 32.

I am invited by Jesus to practice self-discipline, self-control and purity of heart. Jesus also frowns at divorce, adultery and fornication. To pluck out my eye and hand that cause me to sin is to do the needful in stopping my tendency to sin. Do I avoid bad places and friends who have negative influence on me? What effort do I make to prevent myself from falling into the sin of lustful thoughts?

LET US PRAY.
Give me inner strength and self-control o Lord Jesus to avoid all occasions of sin, and curb all my excesses. Grant the grace of fidelity to married couples. Help me to battle with my weak human tendencies so that I can resolutely practice virtuous acts. Help me to be firm and constant in making right choices. Give me purity of heart. Amen.
