INTRODUCTION
The readings for Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Lent focus on trust in God, faithfulness, and true freedom.
FROM OUR FIRST READING
In the first reading, King Nebuchadnezzar throws Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into a fiery furnace because they refuse to worship a false god. They trust in God, and He protects them from harm. This shows that God is with those who remain faithful, even in times of trial.

FROM OUR GOSPEL READING
In the Gospel, Jesus speaks about true freedom. He says that those who follow Him will know the truth, and the truth will set them free. The people do not understand, but Jesus explains that sin enslaves, and only the Son of God can bring true freedom. This challenges believers to turn away from sin and live in His truth.
WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THE READINGS OF TODAY?
My dear friends in Christ, These readings invite reflection on faithfulness, trust, and freedom in Christ. They encourage believers to stay strong in faith, trust in God’s protection, and seek true freedom by following Jesus.
CONCLUSION
Wednesday of the 5th Week of Lent reminds us that God’s authority is above all. When we trust in him and remain faithful, he will be with us in every challenge. This trust gives us the courage to follow him, no matter the cost.
I wish you all a blessed Wednesday .
